Ground Force Bam x Kimberlite Tessa Pups
RESERVATION POLICY:
Kimberlite puppies are often sold before they are born and we frequently have a waiting list. If you are interested in a pup from a particular dog or cross please let us know . We can let you know our plans for breeding generally and for that dog coming up or down the road Also if you have particular plans for your pup , as a service dog , therapy dog, hunting companion, for competing in Agility , Barn hunt, Rally, Obedience etc let us know , the more you tell us about your plans for your pup the better we can match you to a great partner . If you would like to reserve a place on our waiting list please contact us for an application. We will review the application and send out reference letter to friends or family that you provide for us to contact Upon approval, we will ask you if want to reserve to be on our Reservation list for a puppy and if so you will need to place a nonrefundable DEPOSIT of $500 to be placed on the deposited Reservation list The deposit is applied towards the total price of the pup. We are considering again restarting a formal wait list so that if we have puppies or dogs that come available unexpectedly we can reach out to you If we have additional puppies became available, we could contact our waitlist families in the order they were received, unless someone has already deposited Our goal in breeding is continue our lines for our selves and to share our Jacks with others We strive to produce beautiful pups with intelligence , good temperaments that we would want to have in our home and for performance competition and our breeding program. We try to provide healthy pups of good quality, performance minded puppies with excellent temperaments to our puppy families. Our puppies on a spay neuter contract go home for $2500- or more depending on the litter and/or other terms. Kimberlite does not breed for profit. Caring for dogs is costly these days and suggest that most of our families look into getting veterinary insurance We maintain a daily exercise and training routine as well as some couch time for our dogs and do health and genetic testing on all our breeding dogs We have researched pedigrees and genetics extensively . In breeding we strive to produce quality terriers and to maintain the heritage of these terriers as well as advance the breed. Several Families that have gotten our dogs would be happy to speak to you if you would like Also check out my Facebook page Kimberlite Jack Russell Terriers , or my page Alison Cook Cilliers for pictures etc have may also benefit from our by retaining an exceptional pup from these same litters.
Terriers are sold to approved homes only. Our primary objective is to place each terrier in a home where they can excel and that their family will be happy with them This requires that the energy level temperament and aptitudes on the puppy are a good fit , the best way to do this is for us to know very well what you are looking for in the way of your new family member . The terrier that has your preferred coloring , that dog that looks like the one you have always wanted may not have the perfect temperament for your home, you may decide to make some compromises But if sex or coat or coloring is really important , you may have to pass and wait for a future litter, sometimes that can take a long time to find that match ( it has been up to 3 years!!) We get to know our puppies really well , working with them daily, to know the strength and weakness of each (and of course we know the adults we place really well) we will work to suggest terriers for you that will compliment their new family and living situation as best as possible. We select for temperament first with color and coat and even sex only as a secondary and tertiary considerations. (if the pup is joining a multidog household this is all the more true) We screen potential puppy or dog families thoroughly and work to help educate each of you to be sure that you have an honest understanding of this breed’s working characteristics, athletic and intellectual needs, tolerance of children or other animals , and boundless exercise , both mental and physical, requirements. A suitably sturdy tall well footed fenced yard is a must! Invisible fences are not acceptable. We will post pictures of the pups and we know everyone develops favorites based on looks but Please keep in mind that we here at Kimberlite no decisions are made until the pups are 8 weeks or older and always we have the right of first refusal on every puppy (we often will choose a pup from a litter to take the place of a parent who is being retired from breeding ) to add to our program , and that may be the pup you have your eye on! We know it is difficult, but please try not to fall in love until our own selection process is complete. As we believe this will be a lifelong commitment for everyone involved, we work very hard with each pup to learn who they are and we ask you lots of questions to help ensure each terrier is placed in the best home possible for your family and puppy! We will provide resources to help you and Of course we will also be here for the many questions you will have
Puppies are evaluated at 8 -12 weeks and any pups that we will notify you if there are any pups we have decided to keep and we start working towards matching the puppies to the families with deposited reservations based on gender, temperament/suitability to buyer’s environment , sex and finally we consider any preferences for color or coat We do not take reservations for a specific coat, color or height or from a particular litter as we never know who will arrive and what suit they might be wearing ! but we know for some this is very important . We work to get out pups well socialized, healthy puppy Puppies are usually ready to go to their forever homes at 9-14 weeks of age depending on the puppy and litter, very occasionally at 8 weeks Be sure you arrange time in your life for your new puppy to join you and get acclimated . We do not ship puppies, but it you want to come and pick up your puppy by plane and carry him or her in the cabin in a Sherpa bag with you I can arrange to meet you at our local airport . Travel expenses are your responsibility
Please remember - We do not make puppies available to families until we have completed our own evaluation and selection process at about 8-12 weeks
All of our puppies are sold with a spay/neuter contract unless other arrangements have been made. If you are seriously considering owning an non-altered Jack Russell, something we do not do lightly or often Please contact us for more specifics.

*** COVID-19 and Dog viruses *** Because our dogs live in our home, we have taken measures to help protect our family , our dogs and you and your family by suspending all visits to our home for the foreseeable future, (we do not have a kennel, our dogs and puppies are in our home ) . We understand that everyone may not have the concerns that we do regarding infectious diseases in dogs and people ,currently there remain concerns regarding Covid 19, but there are always other human and animal infectious diseases , we do ask that you understand and respect our wishes. We also ask you to remember that regardless of where the little pups are in their vaccination schedule We have always had concerns re dog infectious diseases being carried in to our home, as well as early lives they are susceptible to disease. A few years ago a breeder of Labs not far from us lost a whole litter of pups and their mom to Parvo that was carried onto their property ... We take our responsibility of the health of our dogs seriously When puppies become available, we will likely plan to meet you in a neutral place we will practice social distancing and wear face masks during all visits. Masks, cleanly washed clothes and disinfected shoes will be required at all times while meeting and visiting . We are so sorry as we know this may seem extreme and an inconvenience, but it is to keep everyone (human and animal) healthy !
